The Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) is committed to serving the professional needs of its members by improving knowledge and understanding of lung disease, with the ultimate goals being to prevent respiratory illness through research and health promotion and to improve health care for people with respiratory illness.

We lead, support and enable all health workers and researchers to prevent, cure and relieve the burden, disability and mortality caused by respiratory conditions.

As the leaders in lung health, we promote:

  • Highest quality and standards of patient care.
  • Development and application of knowledge about respiratory health and disease.
  • Highest quality air standards including a tobacco smoke free society, effective regulation of novel nicotine delivery systems and reductions in air pollution exposure.
  • Collaboration between all national organisations whose objects are to improve the wellbeing of individuals affected by respiratory conditions and to promote better lung health for the community.

We are the Australian member of the International Council of Nurses headquartered in Geneva in collaboration with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF).

Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) is a not-for-profit professional organisation for clinical radiologists and radiation oncologists in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.
RANZCR is a membership organisation led by clinicians who are elected by the membership, with oversight from a Board of Directors.

We are the leaders in diagnostic, interventional, and cancer care medicine and associated subspeciality areas through engagement, education, and advocacy; and by supporting clinical excellence. Our Fellows play a critical role in the diagnosis and monitoring of disease, provide interventional treatments and targeted treatments for cancer.

Our evidence-based culture focuses on best practice outcomes for patients and equity of access to high quality care, underpinned by an attitude of compassion and empathy. As an organisation we are committed to diversity and inclusion, and to the training and professional development of our Fellows and trainees throughout their career. National Association of Testing Authorities Australia

We are Australia’s leading national accreditation body, recognised by government to assess organisations against a number of international standards for laboratories, inspection bodies, proficiency testing providers and reference material producers.

We provide accreditation services to conformity assessment bodies which facilitate stakeholders having confidence in test, measurement and inspection data and thus enabling them to gain national and international acceptance of their products and services.
